SEA Prime received the EBAA Safety Recognition Award at the European Safety Summit in Cologne on 12 November.
The award is made by the EBAA to success stories resulting from commitment to implementing safety measures beyond those mandated by regulations.
When flights were transferred during the Bridge, SEA Prime in collaboration with SEA Operations and SMS Department, in fact, prepared and implemented operating procedures with the aim of accommodating, in a particularly complex context, the general aviation traffic of Milan.
By issuing a letter of operations and dedicated procedures, it was possible to use a dedicated portion of the apron measuring about 90,000 sq. m for general aviation with a special regulation, within the framework of EASA Regulation 139/2014.

The letter of operations and the procedures were agreed and approved by SEA, ENAC, ENAV and Assoclearance and circulated to all operators involved, as well as being published on the sites of the main business aviation associations (including EBAA, NBAA and MEBA). Mandatory training and familiarization courses were also provided to raise safety standards.
At Linate, during the closure, special procedures were implemented to allow the flight operations of the helicopters of SEA Prime based customers and the helicopter shuttle during the Monza Grand Prix in the first weekend of September. During the period, around 400 helicopter movements were handled.
Thanks to the procedures implemented in an extraordinary period such as the temporary closure of Linate airport, SEA Prime was able to manage over 5,100 Aviation business movements, with an increase of over 260% compared to the previous year.
