Linate airport will be closed due to runway repairs and airport restyling: all flights will be moved to Malpensa and Bergamo.
Passengers are invited to contact the airlines for updated information about rescheduling flights during the closing time.
From 27 July 2019 Milan Linate closes to passenger traffic to allow major infrastructure works that will improve the quality, increase the level of security and transform the design through a redesign of the terminal. Meanwhile, passengers can continue to fly from Milan Malpensa.
The reopening of Linate is scheduled for October 27, 2019, but some construction sites will remain open because the complete renewal path of the airport will continue until 2021, to transform Linate into a true European city airport, at the height of the city of Milan.
The first intervention will be the remaking of the take-off and landing runway. At the same time the restyling of the boarding area will begin, with the expansion of the airport's commercial offer. The plant that receives the bags (BHS) and prepares them for boarding in the holds of the aircraft will also be renewed.
The works will end in 2021, returning a completely renovated, modern and functional airport, able to offer passengers a more complete and easier travel experience. Discover more at www.lacittachevola.it
