In compliance with ENAC's dispositions, access to Milano Malpensa Terminal 1 is regulated through unidirectional routes that control the flow of passengers to make travelers and staff stay at the airport as safe as possible.
All people who access the airport will be, therefore, required to wear personal protective equipment for the entire duration of their stay and will be subjected to body temperature checks through a thermal scanner at their entrance. If the device detects febrile symptoms above 37.5 °C, a medical check-up is provided.
Checkpoints for temperature measurement are on floor -1 for all passengers arriving from multi-story car parks and the railway station, and at door 13 on the departure floor for any other departing passenger. On the departures floor, entrance and exit are allowed only from door 13. Entry and exit from any other door will be inhibited.
On the arrivals floor, checks are carried out at door 5, while the exit is permitted only from door 5. Entry and exit from any other door will be inhibited.
