Milan Malpensa is preparing to welcome one of the greatest masters of contemporary photography.
Steve McCurry, the renowned American photographer celebrated worldwide for his iconic images, has created a series of exclusive photographs inside the airport, which will be the focus of an extraordinary exhibition.
The initiative is part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad, the multidisciplinary, inclusive and nationwide program designed to animate Italy by promoting Olympic values through culture, heritage and sport, in the lead-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, which Italy will host from 6 to 22 February and from 6 to 15 March 2026, respectively.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, 30 January 2026, in the check-in area of Terminal 1 at Milan Malpensa Airport. It will remain on display throughout the duration of the Olympic Games, offering passengers and visitors a unique opportunity to admire McCurry’s talent in an unprecedented setting.
With this initiative, Malpensa reaffirms its commitment to combining art and travel, transforming the airport into a place of culture and inspiration—where Milan and Lombardy are connected, thanks to Malpensa, to 219 destinations in 84 different countries.
